Hickenlooper accused of doing his own sidestep on Colorado gun bill

Gov. John Hickenlooper has taken some heat for what critics call his “waffling” or “weasling” on a bill limiting ammunition magazines to 15 rounds.

“I from time to time to have said contradictory things on it,” Hickenlooper said, in an interview with Colorado Public Radio last week.

That comment reminded me of my favorite scene in the movie “The Best Little Whorehouse in Texas,” featuring Charles Durning as governor. The whole scene is worth watching but if you want to cut to the chase start at 2:38.
