Rep. Kevin Priola’s daughters joined him in the House chambers tonight for a long budget debate.
The Henderson Republican said his wife, Michelle, had a school function, and his son Turin had baseball so he had the girls. At one point, Priola held Mari in his arms as he went to the microphone to discuss a budget amendment, prompting a faux scolding about use props during the debate.
Priola said he thought the budget debate would end about 6 p.m., 7 at the latest, but the legislature was still going strong at 9:30 p.m. By then the girls were under his desk, watching a movie on an iPad.
